Singled out for praise by Chambers UK, Rowena brings a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to her clients, working closely with them to build and maintain strong brand portfolios that support and are tailored to their individual needs and business objectives.

Rowena works with clients of all different sizes, from start-ups and SMEs through to larger corporates, where she specialises in clearing and protecting brands at UK and EU (CTM) level, devising and implementing worldwide filing strategies, managing and optimising her clients’ portfolios, challenging third parties that come too close and persuading examiners to register the unregistrable.

Her clients cover a diverse range of industries, such as media and entertainment (including social networking, music and personality branding), sports equipment, toys, pharmaceuticals and medical products, building materials and business and financial services.

Rowena joined GJE in 2001 after graduating from Cambridge with a first class honours degree in Classics and was made a partner in 2010. Although she has now hung up her own boots, her love of rugby still burns strong and she is a keen cyclist, especially in the wine-making regions of Europe.
