Arnie has an Honours Degree in chemistry and a Ph.D. in organometallic chemistry. He qualified as a Chartered Patent Attorney and European Patent Attorney in 2002. He joined the partnership in 2008.

The majority of his work has been for medium to large US and European corporate clients and he has extensive experience of European prosecution and opposition practice. He has also been involved in the management and prosecution of extensive foreign patent portfolios. Arnie has also dealt with a large number of UK based clients, for whom he drafts patent applications, and he prosecutes these world-wide.

Arnie also has considerable experience of producing infringement and validity opinions and of drafting patent attorneys’ reports for due diligence exercises concerning financial proposals.

Technically, Arnie has experience in a wide range of technologies in the fields of chemistry, chemical engineering and materials science, including pharmaceutical chemistry, polymer chemistry, film and fibre materials, inks and printing methods, petroleum formulations, anti-corrosion treatments, hair-care products, drug delivery, diagnostics and medical devices

Away from the office, Arnie is a keen cricketer, rugby player, music snob and film critic
